The blanket I am crocheting is coming along really great!! The only thing I wish I had was more time in a day so I can work on it. The only time I get a chance to work on it is after when I come home from work and get a chance to catch up on some shows from the day. That’s when I pull it out and start working on it.
It would be nice if it were the summer time and I was off from work for an entire weekend. Then I would go out to my swinging bench and crochet there in the nice summer breeze. Ahhh….that is my all-time favourite thing to do whether it’s reading on there or just relaxing. Dang…too bad it’s winter…seriously…I can’t wait for the summer.
Anyways, here is a photo of what I have done so far in regards to my blanket. You like??

Just last week, I decided to pull out all my crochet items. Of course I had stored them away in a bag that I placed in a drawer.
After getting some inspiration to start crocheting a blanket, I decided it’s time for me to put my yarns and hooks somewhere safe. That’s why I bought the basket you see in the photo off to the side.
Isn’t it pretty?? I thought so which is why I purchased it from Wal-Mart for only $10. Not too bad for a basket that size.
Now I have somewhere safe where I can put my yarns, hooks, patterns, and other things related. There they will be kept safe and tidy…and of course in reach which is why I placed it right next to the television. After all, the best time to crochet is when you are sitting in front of the tv and watching some talk shows…well, more like listening to them. LOL!

The other day I saw a post by Jenn over here where she’s making such a gorgeous blanket. I got really inspired and ended up pulling out my crochet hooks and buying new yarn. I am totally making a blanket too.
I don’t know how to do the ripple effect, so I have decided to make a striped blanket. The colours are going to be white, blue, and pink and it will continue until I think the blanket is long enough.
Here’s a glimpse of what I have done so far and also my little crafts basket.
